My Review

“Zardoz” is a science fiction fantasy film that tells the story of what life is like on Earth after a nuclear war. Set in 2293, the plot has humans separated into two groups, the Eternals and the Brutals with the former ruling over the later. Director-screenwriter John Boorman must have been on drugs while making this film, as the script has the actors reciting silly dialogue and prancing around in ridiculous costumes, and acting out a pathetic storyline. This film is a complete dud.

It is embarrassing to see performers of the caliber of Sean Connery and Charlotte Rampling in this horrible motion picture. The supporting cast includes mostly UK and Irish actors like Sara Kestelman, John Alderton, and others. The unwatchable “Zardoz” was a flop at the box office for producer John Boorman, John Boorman Production Ltd., and 20th Century Fox. This movie is a complete bore, man.
