My Review

Brad Pitt heads up the cast in the fun summer blockbuster “World War Z.” He plays a former United Nations investigator called upon to help stop a world-wide pandemic that is turning people into zombies.

This smoothly paced motion picture is the result of good direction by Marc Forster (“Monster’s Ball” 2001) and a well-penned screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard, and Damon Lindelof, adapted from the 2006 novel by Max Brooks.

Respectable performances were turned in by the supporting cast including Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox, David Morse, Elyes Gable, Pierfrancesco Favino, Ludi Boeken, Fana Mokoena, David Andrews, Abigail Hargrove, Sterling Jerins, Fabrizio Zacharee Guidoos, and Peter Capaldi, well-known as the 12th Doctor of the “Doctor Who” series.

The production values are quite good in “World War Z,” such as special effects, editing, and cinematography, all contributing to this very watchable film, a hit at the box office for producer Brad Pitt and Paramount Pictures.
