My Review

“Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows” is a respectable sequel to 1966’s “The Trouble with Angels.” Rosalind Russell reprised her role as a conservative Mother Superior, this time challenged by young upstart liberal Sister George, played by Stella Stevens. Screenwriter Blanche Halalis seemed to give the funniest one-liners to Russell in this amusing comedy from director James Neilson.

Along with Rosalind Russell, Mary Wickes, Binnie Barnes, and Dolores Sutton also returned from the original picture. The cast also includes some luminaries like Milton Berle, Arthur Godfrey, Van Johnson, Robert Taylor, Susan Saint James, Barbara Hunter, Alice Rawlings, Hilary Thompson, and June Fairchild as June. “Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows” was modestly successful at the box office for Columbia Pictures.
