My Review

“Unsung Hero” tells the inspirational story of a man whose music company collapses and then decides to move from Australia to America in search of a brighter future. In the process of struggling to make ends meet, he and his family discover the talents of their children, who go on to become two of the most successful musical acts in Contemporary Christian Music. Directors-screenwriters Richard Ramsey and Joel Smallbone did an outstanding job in putting together this fast moving true-life story with outstanding production values.

The cast includes Daisy Betts, Joel Smallbone, Lucas Black, Hilary Scott, Lance E. Nichols, Beau Wirick, Candace Cameron Bure, Don Most, Terry O’Quinn, Rebecca St. James, and Jonathan Jackson as Eddie DeGarmo and Rachel Hendrix as Amy Grant.

The outstanding faith-based film “Unsung Hero” has done quite well at the box office for Kingdom Story Company, Candy Rock Entertainment, and Lionsgate Films.

In case you haven’t guessed or don’t know, the film is about singer Rebecca St. James and her brothers in the Christian rock band For King & Country.
