“Triple Frontier” is an action-adventure picture from director J. C. Chandor (“All is Lost” 2013) that tells the story of five U. S. Army Delta Force friends who reunite to plan a major heist of a South America crime kingpin. Despite an uneven storyline in the first part of the film, the screenplay, written by Mark Boal and J. C. Chandor, recovers enough to make for an exciting film most of the way through.
Good chemistry among cast members also helps the film tremendously. Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund, Pedro Pascal, and Adria Arjona all deliver outstanding performances under the guidance of Chandor. The very watchable “Triple Frontier” is a two-hour movie from Netflix.
