“Tribulation” is a gripping drama about what happens to a group of people who are left behind after the Rapture of the Church. The story centers around Tom Camboro, played by Gary Busey, who slips into a coma after being involved in a car crash. He awakens after two years to discover a new world dominated by the antichrist, played by Nick Mancuso. His sister Eileen, portrayed by Margot Kidder, is the only family member to be taken in the Rapture.
The cast also includes Howie Mandel, Sherry Miller, Joseph Ziegler, Lawrence Bayne, Wayne Best, and Leigh Lewis as Helen Hannah. There are cameo appearances by television preachers Jack Van Impe, Rexella Van Impe, T. D. Jakes, and John Hagee. Director Andre Van Heerden and producers-screenwriters Peter Lalonde and Paul Lalonde (Cloud Ten Pictures) put together a fast-moving and engrossing story. This is the third motion picture in a series that began with “Apocalypse” (1998) and “Revelation” (1999). It will end with the fourth fillm “Judgement” (2001).
