“Traitor” is an interesting spy thriller which stars Don Cheadle as an America agent who goes under deep cover for U. S. intelligence. Complications arise when his immediate superior, played by Jeff Daniels, is killed. Cheadle is being pursued by FBI agents who are unaware of his status.
The well written screenplay by Jeffrey Nachmanoff proceeds at a good pace and keeps the audience informed by way of the clearly structured plot. Nachmanoff is also the director, who developed the story with Steve Martin.
Co-stars include Guy Pearce, Said Taghmaoui, Neal McDonough, Alyy Khan, Lorena Gale. The watchable movie “Traitor” barely broke even at the box office for producers Steve Martin and Don Cheadle, Overture Films, Mandeville Films, Hyde Park Entertainment, Crescendo Production, and Paramount Pictures.
