Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios have hit the jackpot with “Toy Story 4.” This fourth computer-animated film in the popular “Toy Story” series (from 1995, 1999, 2010) is funny, warm, and homey family entertainment that has earned over one billion dollars at the global box office.
The story of the secret life of toys continues with voice cast Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), Annie Potts (Bo Peep), Tony Hale (Forky), Keanu Reeves (Duke), Jay Hernandez (Dad), Joan Cusack (Jessie), John Ratzenberger (Hamm), Bonnie Hunt (Dolly), and Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Head, archive recordings, as he passed away in 2017).
Other celebs playing characters close to their own persona include Carol Burnett, Betty White, Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks, Carl Weathers, Bill Hader, and baseball star Rickey Henderson.
Director Josh Cooley has done an excellent job in his debut in motion pictures. The screenplay by Stephany Folsom and Andrew Stanton has made the one hundred minutes of “Toy Story 4” extremely watchable.
