My Review

When Hollywood remakes a picture only twenty-two years old, it is obvious that the industry is running out of ideas. Nevertheless, “Total Recall” has plenty of action scenes, good production values, and a passable script to make it a watchable movie.

Colin Farrell delivers a strong performance in the lead character, a construction worker having strange dreams. He soon discovers there is more to his life than he thought. The supporting cast includes Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, John Cho, Bill Nighy, Will Yun Lee, Bokeem Woodbine, and Dylan Smith.

Director Len Wiseman (“Live Free or Die Hard” 2007) and screenwriters Kurt Wimmer and Mark Bomback have managed to put together a fun “Total Recall” without Arnold Schwarzenegger, a success at the box office for Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures.
