My Review

Every so often a movie comes along that is so confusing and so ridiculous that you know you have wasted two hours of your life for nothing. “The Time Traveler’s Wife” is one such film. The screenplay by Bruce Joel Rubin has the time traveler guy zigging and zagging through time so much that all logic seems to have gone out the window. The only incident we can relate to is when he uses his advanced knowledge to win the lottery.

Performers include Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams as the lucky Mr. and Mrs. Time Traveler. Others are Ron Livingstone, Jane McLean, Stephen Tobolowsky, Arliss Howard, Michelle Nolden, and Hailey McCann. The actors must have heavily relied on director Robert Schwentke (“Flightplan” 2005) to guide them through the maze of this disconcerting and befuddling production from New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures, “The Time Traveler’s Wife,” which surprisingly made some money in theatrical release.
