My Review

“The Score” is an interesting film if only for the fact that it unites the two actors who portrayed Vito Corleone on the big screen. This well done heist picture features Marlon Brando (“The Godfather” 1972) and Robert De Niro (“The Godfather – Part II) as two people who scheme to steal a valuable sceptre from a Montreal museum.

There was some expert direction by Frank Oz (“Bowfinger” 1999 and puppeteer of Miss Piggy and Yoda) and an exquisite screenplay by Daniel E. Taylor, Kario Salem, Lem Dobbs, and Scott Marshall Smith. They provided good backdrop and material to aid in the unique on-screen chemistry between Brando and De Niro.

Co-stars supplementing the drama are Edward Norton, Angela Bassett, Gary Farmer, Jamie Harrold, Serge Houde, Richard Wauge, Paul Soles, Gary Farmer, Martin Drainville, Mark Camacho, and Cassandra Wilson as a lounge singer. All part of the box office success “The Score” from Mandalay Pictures and Paramount Pictures.
