My Review

The latest entry into Universal Pictures’ cinematic Dark Universe is the often remade “The Invisible Man.” This excellent thriller stars Elizabeth Moss as a woman who feels that she is being stalked by her abusive boyfriend even after his apparent suicide.

Director-screenwriter Leigh Whannel (“Upgrade” 2018) skillfully unfolded this drama on film, keeping viewers’ interest for two hours and four minutes. The cast behind Moss includes Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, Harriet Dyer, Michael Dorman, Anthony Brandon Wong, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen as the invisible man.

The very watchable movie “The Invisible Man” is, of course, based on H. G. Welles’ 1897 tome, and a superior remake from Universal Pictures, the studio which produced the first “Invisible Man” in 1933 starring Claude Rains.
