My Review

“The Internship” is an amusing comedy starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two men taking internship jobs with Google, walking into a culture clash with the generally younger group of people employed there. Though the story is somewhat predictable and formulaic, the capable direction by Shawn Levy (“Date Night” 2010) and the screenplay by Jared Stern and Vaughn provides plenty of laughs for some fun escapist programming.

Vaughn and Wilson demonstrate good chemistry as in their previous collaboration “Wedding Crashers” of 2005. (The also appeared in “Starsky & Hutch” in 2004.) Co-stars include Rose Byrne, Max Minghella, Dylan O’Brien, Josh Brener, Josh Gad, Eric Andre, Rob Riggle, B. J. Novak, and Will Ferrell and John Goodman in uncredited cameos. Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, also made a cameo appearance. “The Internship” from 20th Century Fox did have some success at the box office.
