“The Informer” is a crime thriller about a man released from prison on the condition that he work as an undercover informant for the FBI. Italian director Andrea Di Stefano does a good job of pacing the film, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Matt Cook and Rowan Joffe, adapted from the 2009 Swedish novel “Three Seconds” by Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom.
The cast is headed by Joel Kinnaman, who was famous as Gov. Will Conway of the tv show “House of Cards.” Others include Rosamund Pike, Clive Owen, Common, Ana de Armas, Eugene Lipinski. This very watchable film “The Informer” was a British-American production from Ingenious Media and Warner Bros. Pictures.
