“The Foreigner” is an action-adventure movie that gives Jackie Chan a chance to once again demonstrate his patented martial arts moves. With a decent, though predicable, plot and storyline by David Marconi, director Martin Campbell (“Casino Royale” 2006) pulls off a film that is watchable and entertaining.
Co-star Pierce Brosnan, who worked with Campbell in 1995’s “Golden Eye,” has good chemistry with Chan in this picture. They were backed up by a talented international supporting cast that includes Michael McElhatton, Lia Tao, Charlie Murphy, Orla Brady, Katie Leung, Rory Fleck-Byrne, Lia Williams, Ray Feardon, among others in “The Foreigner,” an American-British-Chinese production in which Jackie Chan served as one of the producers.
