My Review

“The Final Cut” is a strange science fiction drama film about a future where memory implants make it possible to record a person’s entire life. Robin Williams stars as a “cutter” who edits memories into a watchable memorial most often played at funerals. Director-screenwriter Omar Naim managed to take a promising premise and turn it into a boring motion picture, due to poor directing and bad writing.

The lead actor, Robin Williams, delivers a zombie-like performance, as do his co-stars Mira Sorvino, Jim Caviezel, Mimi Kuzyk, Thom Bishops, Brendan Fletcher, Stephanie Romanov, Genevieve Buechner, Christopher Britton, and Joely Collins, daughter of singer Phil Collins. “The Final Cut” was a massive bomb at the box office for Lions Gate Films.
