My Review

Kathleen Turner returns to the big screen playing a dying millionaire who suddenly has numerous relatives kissing up to her to inherit some of her fortune in “The Estate.” Director-screenwriter Dean Craig (“Love, Wedding, Repeat” 2020) has inculcated this black comedy with so much coarse language and extreme obnoxious behavior by the major characters that most viewers will find the film hard to take. It is just plain unwatchable, with a terrible performance by Turner, who was one of the top movie stars of the 1980s.

The supporting cast with Turner includes Toni Collette, Anna Faris, David Duchovny, Rosemarie DeWitt, Ron Livingston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, and Danny Vinson. “The Estate” was a huge flop at the box office for producer Sarah Jessica Parker, Signature Films, Capstone Studios, and Pretty Matches Entertainment.
