My Review

“The Eiger Sanction” is a spy action film where Clint Eastwood plays a college professor and a retired gunman who accepts one more hit job. This sloppily assembled movie makes for a slow and sluggish motion picture experience, due to bad direction by Eastwood and a bad screenplay by Hal Dresner, Warren B. Murphy, and Rod Whitaker.

The supporting cast includes Jack Cassidy, Vonetta McGee, George Kennedy, Heidi Bruhl, Thayer David, Gregory Walcott, Jean-Pierre Bernard, Brenda Venus, and Reiner Schone. “The Eiger Sanction” did make a small profit at the box office for The Malpaso Company and Universal Pictures, with a music score composed by John Williams.
