My Review

“The Contractor” is the story of a retired military man who gets into trouble when he gets a job with a private military company. With a sluggish plot and sloppy directing, this film drags along for nearly two hours due to a bad effort by Swedish director Tarik Saleh (in his first English language project) and screenwriter J. P. Davis.

There seems to be no problem with the talented cast, headed by Chris Pine. He turns in his usual top rate performance. Others include Eddie Marsan, Kiefer Sutherland, Ben Foster, Gillian Jacobs, J. D. Pardo. “The Contractor” is an unwatchable movie and a flop in theatrical release for Paramount Pictures.
