My Review

“The Black Hole” is the story of the formation of a black hold in St. Louis, Missouri, after a malfunction at a particle accelerator facility. An energy-consuming creature comes out of the black hole and wreaks havoc on the city of St. Louis. This made-for-television movie suffers from mediocre writing, a predictable storyline, and bad acting.

The poor execution of this B movie can be credited to director Tibor Takacs and teleplay writer David Goodin. There is nothing positive to say about this film. It premiered on the SciFi Channel in June, 2006, and stars Judd Nelson, Kristy Swanson, David Selby, Heather Dawn, Christa Campbell, and Eric Lutes.

The stars have all seen better days: Judd Nelson in the Brat Pack of the 1980’s, Kristy Swanson in the 1992 film “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and David Selby played Richard Channing in CBS’s popular night time soap “Falcon Crest” (1982-1990).
