“Taken 3” finishes off the “Taken” movie franchise with the murder of Brian Mills’ ex-wife, which he is blamed for. The drama proceeds from there, with the LAPD, FBI, CIA all chasing him. Director Olivier Megaton (“Taken 2” 2012) and screenwriters Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen put together an exciting action-thriller film which is predominantly non-stop action, the basic formula for the franchise. It was awarded the Favorite Thriller Movie from the People’s Choice Awards.
The cast includes Liam Neeson as Brian Mills, Forest Whitaker as the LAPD inspector, Maggie Grace as Mills’ daughter, Famke Janssen as ex-wife Lenore, Dougray Scott, Sam Spruell, Leland Orser, Jon Gries, David Warshofsky, Jonny Weston, Don Harvey, Dylan Bruno, and Al Sapienza. The very watchable “Taken 3” was a big hit at the box office for producer Luc Besson, EuropaCorp, M6 Films, TSG Entertainment, Canal+, Cine+, M6, Menakoz Films, and 20th Century Fox.
