My Review

“Swing State” is a political comedy film where a Seattle disc jockey creates a fictitious conservative radio personality who becomes an overnight sensation all across America. This premise has the potential for a hilarious political comedy, but bad writing and sloppy directing by director-screenwriter Jonathan Sheldon creates constant miscues and confusion throughout the movie. There are very few laughs or creative comedic situations for the audience to enjoy.

The cast of this debacle include Alex Beh, Taryn Manning, Angela Kinsey, Nick Loeb, Shane Black, Ted Levine, Sean Astin (son of Patty Duke), Jake Busey (son of Gary Busey), Lydia Hearst (daughter of Patty Hearst and great-granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst), and Billy Zane as Governor Richard Sollow. This unwatchable nonsense was produced by Jonathan Sheldon and released on iTunes in November, 2016, by The Orchard.
