The story, loosely based on the real-life experience of Amanda Knox, was turned into a watchable, but not great, film by director-writer Tom McCarthy (“Spotlight” 2015).
The cast did not disappoint, featuring Matt Damon, Abigail Breslin, Camille Cottin, Lilou Siauvaud, Deanna Dunagan, among others. This watchable independent movie from Dreamworks pictures and a handful of other small studios was not a big hit at the box office.
