“Steve McQueen: American Icon” is an interesting documentary film about the life of popular movie star Steve McQueen. Producer and creator Greg Laurie, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, crafted the two hour movie to cover McQueen’s entire life story with an emphasis on his last five years and conversion to Christianity.
The film was well directed by Jon Erwin and Ben Smallbone and well written by Parker Adams and Greg Laurie. It features interviews with his widow, Barbara Minty McQueen, stuntman Stan Barrett, McQueen biographer Marshall Terrill, his pastor Leonard DeWitt of Ventura Missionary Church (Ventura, California), and entertainer Mel Gibson. Gary Sinise narrated this watchable documentary “Steve McQueen: American Icon” from Greg Laurie and American Icon Films.
