“Star Trek: Horizon” is a story about the star ship Horizon and her involvement in the Romulan War, set after the fourth season of the “Star Trek: Enterprise” television series. It is a “fan production,” not affiliated with Paramount Pictures which owns the “Star Trek” franchise. Director-screenwriter Tommy Kraft did quite a good job on a shoestring budget, as he also had a hand in the musical score, cinematography, film editing, costume design, visual effects, and was one of the executive producers.
Most of the production values were quite good, especially the FX. Weak points include a less than polished script and weak acting performances. The overall quality is a bit below the Paramount Pictures series standards. “Star Trek: Horizon” is definitely a watchable film, nonetheless.
The cast includes Paul Lang, Marc Bowers, Ryan Webber, Cassie Bussell, Tim Kaiser, among others. “Star Trek: Horizons” is a fun film from Tommy Kraft and his TK2 Films.
