My Review

Director Paul Feig has reached new heights of hilarity with “Spy.” His third film with Melissa McCarthy has proven to be a charm; he paired her with action star Jason Stratham with great results. Feig’s screenplay is filled with tons of laughs, spread throughout the picture.

McCarthy plays a CIA analyst who ventures out into the world of “field agent,” i.e., spying. This is a good role for her, with good chemistry with Stratham and experienced direction by Feig. She worked with him in “Bridesmaids” (2011) and “The Heat” (2013).

The supporting cast includes Allison Janney, Jude Law, Bobby Cannalvale, Rose Byrne, Morena Baccarin, Jessica Chaffin, Will Yun Lee, Miranda Hunt, Ben Falcone, and 50 Cent as himself. All part of the watchable smash box office hit “Spy” from Paul Feig and 20th Century Fox.
