“Running the Bases” is a faith-based sports film about a small town baseball coach who accepts a job as the head coach of a larger and more successful high school sports program. He soon faces opposition from the powers-that-be over his unorthodox coaching style and methods.
Directors-screenwriters Marty Roberts and Jimmy Womble put together this absorbing drama that was a fast moving two hours and seven minutes in theaters. Unfortunately, not too many people viewed the movie, but did have limited success for a Christian based product. It is a great view on DVD!
The largely unknown cast gave some good performances including Brett Varvel, Gigi Orsillo, Todd Terry, Cameron Arnett, Garry Nation, and Stephen Lewis. “Running the Bases” was produced by Robert C. Bigelow and UP2U Films.
