My Review

“Reminiscence” is a mediocre science fiction movie set in the “near future” where a man uses a machine that can read people’s memories.  This dull affair is entirely attributed to director-writer Lisa Joy in her film debut.  She also co-produced this dud with husband Jonathan Nolan; both co-created the HBO series “Westworld” which is quite a good show. The Nolan’s have no such luck here.

The cast includes Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, Thandiwe Newton (also a resident of “Westworld”), Cliff Curtis, Daniel Wu, Brett Cullen, Natalie Martinez, Nico Parker, Marina de Tavira, Mojean Aria, and Angela Sarafyan.

“Reminiscence” was a huge flop at the box office, no doubt disappointing Film Nation Entertainment, Kilter Films, Michael De Luca Productions, and Warner Bros, Pictures.

Verdict: Unwatchable!  “Reminiscence” is a movie best to be forgotten.
