My Review

“Playing With Fire” is a fun family comedy about a group of firefighters who meet their match when they rescue three rambunctious children, and must babysit them for a few days until their parents arrive. Though the film has a predictable plot and cliche clean comedy, capable direction by Andy Flickman (“Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2” 2015) and the quality screenplay by Dan Ewen and Matt Lieberman make this a good picture to bring the family to.

There is good chemistry among cast members, including the four firefighters: John Cena and Tyler Mane (from professional wrestling), Keegan-Michael Key (from “Mad TV”), and John Leguizamo (movie actor for three decades). The child roles were filled by Brianna Hildebrand, Christian Convery, Finley Rose Slater. Others include Judy Greer and Dennis Haysbert. The very watchable “Playing With Fire” was moderately successful at the box office for Paramount Pictures.
