“PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie” is an animated superhero comedy film that tells the story of how a meteor magnet demonstration during a meteor shower backfires, causing a giant comet to head straight for Adventure City, home of the PAW Patrol. They spring into action, hopefully to save the day, and Adventure City, from destruction. Complications arise, with drama and comedy proceeding from there.
Director Cal Brunker, who co-wrote the screenplay with Bob Barlen, have put together a marvelous animated feature that combines action-adventure and comedy with life lessons for the targeted audience of 4-7 year olds. It is G-rated, so kids of all ages can attend; parents and grandparents can go with the children. It is a sequel to “PAW Patrol: The Movie” (2021), and is based on the Canadian television series “PAW Patrol,” which has ran on TVOntario (Canada) and on Nickelodeon (U. S.) since 2013.
The voice cast includes McKenna Grace, Taraji P. Henson, Marsai Martin, Christian Convery, Ron Pardo, Lil Rel Howery, Kim Kardashian, Chris Rock, Serena Williams, Alan Kim, James Marsden, Kristen Bell, Kim Roberts, Dan Duran, Neil Krone, and North West and Saint West (daughter and son of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West).
With colorful animation and a great storyline, the very watchable “PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie” was a smash hit at the box office in the fall of 2023 for Spin Master Entertainment, Elevation Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies, and Paramount Pictures. A second sequel is in development and scheduled to be released in 2026.
