My Review

Harry Dean Stanton plays a man wandering out of the desert with amnesia who must soon deal with reuniting with his family in “Paris, Texas.” German filmmaker Wim Wenders put together a moderately interesting modern-day melodrama from a screenplay by Sam Shepard.

The cast delivers good performances including Harry Dean Stanton, Nastassja Kinski, Dean Stockwell, Aurora Clement, Hunter Carson, Bernhardt Wicki, John Lurie, Tom Farrell, Sally Norvell, and Socorro Valdez as the cleaning lady. The somewhat watchable “Paris, Texas” experienced a small box office profit in art house cinema for Road Movies, Filmproduktion Gmbl, Argos Film, and Tobis Film.
