Director Alex Kendrick and and producer Stephen Kendrick have produced another high quality faith-based film that is also a hit at the box office. “Overcomer” is the story of a high school coach facing challenges came in at number three at the box office for the weekend of Aug. 23-25.
Director Alex Kendrick doubled as the star of the show, playing a basketball coach who must start a cross country team consisting of a young woman suffering from asthma. Outstanding performances from Kendrick and Aryn Wright-Thompson playing the young track aspirant.
