My Review

“My One and Only” is a comedy-drama loosely based on the early life of George Hamilton and how he and his mother and brother traveled west from New York to Los Angeles. The thrills, chills, and spills were expertly woven into this movie by director Richard Loncraine (“Firewall” 2006) and screenwriter Charlie Peters.

The core of the cast includes Logan Lerman as George, Renee Zellweger as his mother, and Mark Rendall as his brother. They have perfect big screen chemistry as this family unit. The supporting cast includes Kevin Bacon, Chris North, Molly Quinn, Nick Stahl, Steven Weber, Eric McCormack, Robin Weigart, David Koechner, and Phoebe Strole.

The watchable “My One and Only” was not a hit in theatrical release for Herrick Entertainment and Freestyle Releasing, but is a fun view on DVD.
