My Review

“Monty Python and the Holy Grail” is a popular and well-regarded British comedy released in 1975. It did well at the box office at the time, and is placed highly on numerous best-films-of-all-time lists.

However, we find this satire of King Arthur’s quest to find the holy grail to be boring, silly, and simply unhumorous. The comedy is trite and the writing is sloppy and ridiculous.

Full credit goes to the comedy group called Monty Python, who wrote the screenplay, directed, and starred in the movie. The members are Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, and Michael Palin. Gilliam and Jones were the directors.

Save yourself 91 minutes and skip the unwatchable “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” Go on a quest for superior entertainment, which should not be too difficult.
