“Miracles from Heaven” is an excellent faith-based film about a young girl who has a near-death experience and a visit to Heaven, a true story based on the 2015 book of the same name by Christy Beam. Director Patricia Riggen (“Under the Same Moon” 2007) and screenwriter Randy Brown did a great job of adapting Beam’s book to the big screen. Excellent character development and smooth continuity kept the audience’s attention throughout the nearly two hour movie.
Jennifer Garner and Kylie Rogers are excellent fits as the mother-daughter center of the film; they really held the project together. The cast also includes Queen Latifah, Martin Henderson, John Carroll Lynch, Eugenio Derbez, Brighton Sharbino, and Zach Sale. “Miracles from Heaven” was quite a marvel at the box office for Affirm Films, Columbia Pictures, and Sony Pictures Releasing.
