My Review

“Millions” is the story of an eight-year-old boy who finds a large bag of money and decides to give much of it away to the poor. Director Danny Boyle (“Slumdog Millionaire” 2008) has good intentions for this project but looses something in the execution. The moving is slow moving and listless, with a poorly written screenplay by Frank Cottrell-Boyce, who adapted it from his own novel.

The British cast includes Alex Etel as the boy, Lewis McGibbon and James Nesbitt as his brother and father, Daisy Donovan, Christopher Fulford, Pearce Quigley, Alun Armstrong, Enzo Cilenti, Kathryn Pogson, Cornelius Macarthy, and Leslie Phillips as himself. “Millions” is an independent film from Pathe Pictures of the United Kingdom.
