The seventh film in Tyler Perry’s Madea series is probably the best of the lot so far. “Madea’s Witness Protection” is the story of a New York City financial officer who goes into the FBI’s witness protection program, with Brian Simmons suggesting that the man and his family stay with his Aunt Madea in Atlanta. The reasoning is that no one would look for him with Madea, and, of course, the other reason would be the resulting humorous situations and many, many laughs!
Perry’s fingerprints are over these Madea films, as he is the producer, director, writer, and star. His performances in three roles, as Madea Simmons, her brother Joe Simmons, and Joe’s son Brian assures that Perry appears in virtually every scene. This film is no exception.
The supporting cast behind Tyler Perry includes Eugene Levy, Denise Richards, Doris Roberts, Tom Arnold, John Amos, Marla Gibbs, Romeo Miller, Danielle Campbell, Devan Leos, and Charlie Sheen in an uncredited cameo. “Madea’s Witness Protection” was a watchable and hilarious film that made a profit at the box office for Tyler Perry Studios and Lionsgate Films.
