“Looper” is a science fiction action movie from director-screenwriter Rian Johnson (“The Brothers Bloom” 2008) that tells the story of a hitman from the future going into the past only to be in peril of being killed by his younger self. This well-constructed time travel film is very suspenseful and hold the viewer’s attention for the two hour duration.
The actors do well in the performance department, especially Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the older and younger Joe Simmons, respectively. They are supported by Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Piper Perabo, Jeff Daniels Noah Segan, Pierce Gagnon, et al. “Looper” was profitable in theatrical release for TriStar Pictures.
