My Review

“Legally Blondes” is a made-for-television movie about two English cousins of “Legally Blonde” heroine Elle Woods, who move from the UK to California and cause a stir at their prep school due to fashion tastes and other factors. Director Savage Steve Holland (“Stuck in the Suburbs” 2004) put together a light and entertaining movie that was a pilot for a canceled television series. The teleplay writers were Chad Gomez Creasey and Dara Resnick Creasey.

The cast includes Milly Rosso and Becky Rosso as the Woods twins, Lisa Banes as the headmistress, Christopher Cousins, Brittany Curran, Amy Hill, Curtis Armstrong, Bobby Campo, and Christoph Sanders as Brad. The formulaic and yet still watchable “Legally Blondes” was aired on the ABC Family Channel in August, 2009. Reese Witherspoon, who was the star of the two “Legally Blonde” films (2001 and 2003), was the producer with help from production companies Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Marc Platt Productions, Type A Films, and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
