My Review
Angelina Jolie reprises her role as explorer Lara Croft as she tries to locate Pandora’s Box before criminal elements seize it for their own evil purposes in “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life.” Dutch director Jan de Bont (“Twister” 1996) put together a high-quality action-adventure film that is even better than the original “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” of 2001. This second movie in the series has a tighter storyline, more organized action sequences, and superior performances by cast members.
The cast includes Angelina Jolie, Gerard Butler, Ciaran Hinds, Djimon Hounsou, Christopher Barrie, Noah Taylor, Til Schweiger, Simon Yam, and Terence Yin. The watchable “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life” was popular at the box office for BBC Films, Mutual Film Company, Tele Munchen Gruppe, Toho-Towa, Lawrence Gordon Productions, Eidos Interactive Ltd., and Paramount Pictures. A remake of this two-film series called “Tomb Raider” was released in 2018 starring Alicia Vikander.
