My Review

Producer-director-screenwriter Rian Johnson (“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” 2017) has given us an off-beat and entertaining who-done-it motion picture, a comical look at a family reunion where the 85-year-old patriarch is murdered.

The talented cast includes some prominent names like Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon, Lakeith Stanford, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, Frank Oz, M. Emmet Walsh, Noah Segan, K Callan, and Ana de Armas. Veteran movie star Christopher Plummer made one of his last big screen appearances here as the head of a family of wise cracking relatives. His first film was 1958’s “Star Struck” which starred Henry Fonda and Susan Strasberg.

The laughs keep on coming throughout the watchable dark comedy film “Knives Out” thanks to creator Rian Johnson, and was a big hit in theatrical release for Johnson and Lionsgate.
