My Review

“I’m Not Ashamed” is a faith-based biographical drama about Rachel Joy Scott, the first victim of the 1999 Columbine High School massacre in Columbine, Colorado. Director Brian Baugh and screenwriters Bodie Thoene, Robin Hanley, Philipa Booyens, and Kari Redmond adapted the work from Scott’s own personal journals, which were filled with reflections on her deep Christian faith.

Rachel Scott was sensitively portrayed by Masey McLain. The supporting cast includes Ben Davies, Cameron McKendry, Taylor Kalupa, Corey Chapman, David Errigo Jr., Sadie Robertson, Korie Robertson, Bella Robertson, Jaci Velasquez (Contemporary Christian Music artist), Nancy Stafford (of TV’s “Matlock” fame), and Jennifer O’Neill, a movie veteran who made her big screen debut in 1968 in “For Love of Ivy” starring Sidney Poitier.

The very inspirational story of a modern-day Christian martyr, “I’m Not Ashamed,” was produced by Visible Pictures and distributed by Pure Flix Entertainment.
