My Review

Blythe Danner delivers an insightful performance as a retired widow enjoying her single status when she suddenly finds herself “getting involved” with two men. “I’ll See You in My Dreams” is tastefully handled by director Brett Haley (“The New Year” 2010), who also co-wrote the screenplay with Marc Basch.

The supporting cast includes Sam Elliot and Martin Starr as the two gentlemen callers, Malin Akerman as the daughter, and Rhea Perlman, Mary Kay Place, and June Squibb as the best friends. Reid Scott makes an entertaining cameo as police officer Schumaker. “I’ll See You in My Dreams” is watchable entertainment from independent production companies that was modestly successful in theatrical release.
