One of Paul Walker’s last films was “Hours,” where he portrayed a man struggling to keep his pregnant wife and unborn child alive when the power is going out in a New Orleans hospital, when Hurricane Katrina hit that city in August of 2005.
Walker turned in a strong and intense performance, as did Genesis Rodriguez as his wife. The supporting cast includes TJ Hassan, Shane Jacobsen, Judd Lormand, Nancy Nave, and Christopher Matthew Cook. Director-screenwriter Eric Heisserer (“The Thing”) displayed excellent craftsmanship on this independent film which did not do well at the box office. “Hours” was released on Dec. 13, 2013, some two weeks after Paul Walker’s passing on Nov. 30, 2013.
