“Grease 2” is basically a mediocre remake of 1978’s classic musical “Grease,” rather than the sequel it was advertised to be. Director-choreographer Patricia Birch, screenwriter Ken Finkelman, and music composer Louis St. Louis made this dud for Paramount Pictures; it barely made a profit at the box office.
The big winner of “Grease 2” was undoubtedly the star of the show, Michelle Pfeiffer, in her film debut. She made a good impression in this flick and went on to bigger and better roles. Her male lead, Maxwell Caulfield, did well and also advanced in his career but not to superstardom like Ms. Pfeiffer.
Some people reprising roles from “Grease” includes Eve Arden, Sid Ceasar, Didi Conn, Dody Goodman, Eddie Deezen, Dick Patterson, and Dennis E. Stewart. They were joined by Adrian Zmed, Lorna Luft, Connie Stevens, Matt Lattanzi, and Tab Hunter.
