Director Kevin Connolly (“Dear Eleanor” 2016) and screenwriters Lem Dobbs and Leo Rossi have a horrible bomb on their hands with “Gotti.” This story about the real-life mobster has poorly written dialogue, uneven plot lines, and terrible acting, especially by star John Travolta in bad makeup as Gotti.
The supporting cast includes Spencer Lafranco, Pruitt Taylor Vince, William DeMeo, Leo Rossi, Stacy Keach, and Travolta’s real-life wife Kelly Preston as Gotti’s wife Victoria. (This was one of her final big screen appearances, as she passed away in 2020.)
This terrible, unwatchable independent film is a complete waste of time. To “Gotti” we say “fuhgettaboutit!”
