My Review

Pure Flix Entertainment and producer-star David A. R. White have put together a third “God’s Not Dead” movie to less than enthusiastic response. “God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness” has a weaker storyline and less punch than the first two films of 2014 and 2016.

However, director-screenwriter Michael Mason got the job done well enough to create a watchable film. The cast includes some familiar faces like Oscar-winner Tatum O’Neal, Ted McGinley, John Corbett, Shane Harper, and Cissy Houston, mother of Whitney Houston and cousin of Dionne Warwick. White and Benjamin Onyango return as the two pastors who are known for the phrase “God is good all the time; all the time God is good.” Samantha Boscarino, Mike C. Manning, and Shwayze also appeared in “God’s Not Dead: A Light in the Darkness.”
