“Forgetting Sarah Marshall” is a fun romantic comedy romp about a man who has a bad breakup with his girl friend, goes on holiday to Hawaii to forget about her, and promptly runs into her with the new boyfriend in tow.
Director Nicholas Stoller (“Storks” 2016) and screenwriter Jason Segel put in enough well timed laughs to this a watchable movie. Producer Judd Apatow (“Funny People” 2009) also has lots of experience in this department.
The cast demonstrate great on-screen chemistry, including Segel as the jilted boyfriend, Kristen Bell as Sarah, and Russell Brand as her new love interest. All three have fantastic comic delivery from Segel’s screenplay. The supporting cast includes Mila Kunis, Bill Hader, Jonah Hill, Liz Cackowski, Paul Rudd, Jason Bateman, and William Baldwin as himself.
Don’t forget to get a hold of the dvd of “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” a hit in theatrical release for Universal Pictures.
