My Review

“Dune: Part Two” continues the melodrama of “Dune” of 2021, telling the story of Paul Atreides, who has taken refuge with the Fremen of the planet Arrakis after the fall of his father’s House Atreides. Director Denis Villeneuve (“Dune” 2021) doesn’t miss a beat in this second part. He co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Spaihts, adapted from Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same name.

The outstanding cast includes Timothee Chalamet as Paul, Zendaya as Chani, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Christopher Walken as Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV, Dave Bautista as Rabban Harkonnen, Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Charlotte Rampling as Gaius Helen Mohiam, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, and Lea Saydoux Lady Margot Fenring.

The talented Hans Zimmer composed the musical score, which augments the breathtaking special effects,, luminous performances, and top-rate production values of “Dune: Part Two.” It has been very successful at the box office for producer Denis Villeneuve, Legendary Pictures, and Warner Bros. Pictures.
