My Review

Director Sam Raimi (“Spider-Man” trilogy 2002-2007 and “The Quick and the Dead” 1995) has outdone himself with the ambitious project “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” This 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has Doctor Stephen Strange being chase across several universes, with Raimi keeping the storyline well-organized and easy to follow for viewers of this two-hour-plus film. There is a wonderful screenplay by Michael Waldron and expert production by Kevin Feige. The cinematography by John Mathieson and musical score by Danny Elfman are simply outstanding.

The talented actor Benedict Cumberbatch does not disappoint here, in his sixth big screen appearance as Doctor Strange, starting with the original “Doctor Strange” (2016), and includes visits to “Thor” (2017), “Avengers” (2018 & 2019), and “Spider-Man” (2021). The cast also includes Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Xochiti Gomez, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Patrick Stewart, John Krasinski, and Anson Mount.

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is a very entertaining and watchable film from Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios, loaded with tons of action and special effects, bringing in a ton of money at the box office for The Walt Disney Company.
